We Partner with the community and local ministries to teach and offer counsel on Postpartum depression to expectant moms and new moms to create a wholistic pack age of information and education on pregnancy, childbirth and Motherhood.

PPD class to expectant mothers
At the Itūūra Family Foundation, we know that motherhood is beautiful—but it can also be overwhelming. And when the emotional weight becomes too heavy, many mothers face one of the most silent and misunderstood challenges after childbirth: postpartum depression (PPD). With 1 in 5 mothers affected, early awareness isn’t just important—it’s life-saving.
Too many women struggle alone simply because no one prepared them for what to expect.
That’s why our founder created a comprehensive program and workbook, available in both Kiswahili and English, to equip mothers with the knowledge, tools, and practical activities they need before and after childbirth. This guide helps them:
-
Understand what’s normal and what’s a warning sign
-
Recognize PPD early
-
Know when and how to seek help
-
Manage their day-to-day emotional wellbeing
-
Build resilience, confidence, and calm through guided exercises

New Moms PPD class
Because we know that repetition is powerful and clarity grows over time, we run this program for expectant moms before birth, and then run it again for the same mothers—or any moms who may have missed it—after they give birth. This ensures every mother truly understands the signs, has the tools at hand, and feels supported throughout her entire journey.
Your donation allows us to offer this program completely free to the mothers who need it most. When you give, you’re not just funding education—you’re protecting mothers, strengthening families, and ensuring no mom faces PPD alone.
Partner with us. Your generosity saves lives, restores hope, and builds stronger, healthier families for generations.
